BIOGRAPHY
With the aspiration of breaking the stranglehold of mundane indie rock music, Ex Norwegian burst into the scene with the song "Something Unreal" in the summer of 2008. The song quickly gained enough attention to send the Miami Beach based group to New York City, showcasing at that years CMJ Music Festival. This quickly prompted a 7" single, "Dance Trance Pants/Don't Bother" followed up by a full length, Standby, released May 2009 — both on Dying Van Gogh. There was no looking back with a stream of live performances and opportunities coming the bands way. By June 2010, their second album, Sketch, was ready to go and without wanting to wait for a label it was self-released. The following year saw the band break-up, albeit temporarily and by 2012, Ex Norwegian returned with another critically acclaimed record, House Music, and a slightly different line-up. Founding members Roger Houdaille (guitar, vocals) and Michelle Grand (vocals) are joined by Giuseppe Rodriguez (bass) to make up the core of the group. Live, they are augmented with a little help from their friends. The band's 4th album, Crack, was released April 2nd, 2013 on Limited Fanfare Records with their brand new long-player, Wasted Lines (and first to feature new vocalist Lucia Perez) out November 18th, 2014 on Limited Fanfare/Dippy Records.
